Pembroke
Hill School
Pembroke Hill, a college preparatory school, wanted more than brochure-ware
when the entered the Web world in 2000. They wanted to provide their
students, parents and teachers with ways to work and communicate
with each other more effectively. The site provides a forum for many
authors to publish:
- Teachers publish their lesson plans and assignments.
- The Athletics
department publishes sports schedules, scores and driving instructions.
- The
HR department publishes employee guidelines and benefits information.
- The
Parents Association maintains their events calendar.
- The Alumni
Association publishes class notes and fundraising information.
- Public
Relations has moved nearly all of its print publications online
and publishes all emergency announcements on the
site.
- Even the Food Service department publishes the weekly
menu online.
Using the Web to disseminate all of this information has dramatically
reduced the phone calls, emails and print costs that Pembroke Hill
incurred every year. And, students and parents report that they are
thrilled with the improved communication.
