Primus Diagnostics was poised to hit the market with several revolutionary
medical devices in 2000. They had a spectacular opportunity to revolutionize
testing for diabetes and other disorders – if only they could
convince prospects to throw away the equipment they had used for
years and try something new. And, Primus had only a short timeframe
to win over the market before their competition caught wind of their
plan and found ways to combat it. Primus decided to make the Web
a primary weapon in this guerilla war. Their goals were to use their
site to:
- Establish Primus as the premier provider of diagnostic equipment
in its product areas
- Streamline the sales process for distributors
- Reduce the customer
support burden
- Make product/promo literature more accessible
- Generate new leads
and make sales online
SSI developed an information rich site that offered all distributors,
customers and internal sales and support teams a wealth of resources.
The site guides salespeople through the sales process, provides online
purchasing and coaches customers through installation and maintenance
processes. It connects to Primus’s ERP system and to its troubleshooting
systems so that the Primus service team can identify and solve product
problems remotely. The site has proven to be one of the most successful
tools in Primus’s arsenal.
